Cells Investigation Aim: In this investigation I am going to learn how to prepare a slide in order to view two different samples of cells under a light microscope. These 2 cells are the cheek cell and the onion skin cell (epidermis). Under the microscope I will observe and record the similarities, differences, etc between the two cells. E.g. do both cells have the following? * Nucleus * Cell Membrane * Cytoplasm * Vacuole * Chloroplasts * And Cell Wall Also under the microscope I will measure the cells to compare the two and find which is larger. I will do this by converting the cell measured in millimetres (mm) to micrometers (µ). Prediction: I predict that in this investigation I will find that the plant cell is bigger then that of the animal as read in CGP's KS3 Science Revision Guide, "Size of animal cell is 1/100th of a millimetre whereas the plant cell is 40 times as big as an animal...
