An investigation into how enzyme concentration affects the rate of reaction of reaction of hydrogen peroxide. Introduction. I am going to investigate how enzyme concentration will affect the reaction of hydrogen peroxide into oxygen and water: 2 H2O2 2 H2O + O2 To investigate it, I will vary the concentration of the yeast cells by adding water to them. Then I will add the varying concentrations of the enzymes (yeast cells) to a set amount of H2O2. My hypothesis is that if I double the concentration of the yeast cells, then the rate of reaction will also double. If there is a higher concentration of the enzymes the chance of the substrate colliding with the enzymes and there being a reaction will be higher. I predict that the shape of the graphs will be: Rate of Reaction. Time. This mean that the rate of reaction will increase very fast at the beginning if...
