An experiment that investigates, effect of temperature On enzyme catalyse Plan: I'm going to investigate the effect of temperature on enzyme catalyse. Catalyse are biological enzymes and work best between 30 and 40 degrees. Catalyse breaks down hydrogen peroxide into water & oxygen. I can alter the experiment by these four factors which affect enzyme activity: * Temperature * PH * Concentration * Inhibitors Variables: Manipulated variable Fixed variable Dependent variable Amount of hydrogen peroxide (cm3) 3,6,9,12,15 Time-10 seconds Temperature- 35 degrees Amount of yeast ( 1 full syringe) Amount of oxygen and H20 produced I will make my investigation a fair test by controlling my variables: Concentration - I will make sure to use the same amount of yeast each time {1 full syringe}. Mass/ size/ surface area - I will use the same cylinder, beaker, and syringe....etc. Time - it will be equivalent period each time. If variables are not controlled it would not be accurate results cause there is going to be a lot of...
