Investigate the effect of changing the substrate concentration on the rate of reaction of hydrogen peroxide in the presence of catalase enzyme Aim The aim of this experiment is to prove that the concentration of substrate does have an impact on the speed of a reaction. If there is enough substrate the enzyme will continuously have substrates in its active site which it will be turning into products. The speed of the reaction will be dependent on the speed of the enzyme. However if there is less substrate available the reaction will be slower because enzymes will not have as many substrate to turn into to product Prediction I predict that less time will be taken for the bead to reach the surface of the Hydrogen Peroxide when the Hydrogen Peroxide is less diluted.
