Forensic Biology When a body is found dead by the police they must found out who the body belongs to, when the person died and how the person died. Forensic Biologists have a variety of techniques to help them solve these puzzles. Most of the time a body will be quite easy to identify, as they will probably be carrying some type of identification, for example a drivers license, a passport or a diary etc. However if a person is found and they have no identification on their person forensic techniques have to be used to identify them. The main techniques used are fingerprinting, identification from dental records, or recently more popular the technique of DNA finger printing. Finger prints can be found on all humans and some other animals. They are unique to each person and remain the same throughout their life. The skin on our hands...
