ANALYSING The statistical test that I will be carrying out is Spearman Rank Correlation. I will be using this as I have two sets of continuous variables that can be ranked. This will help me analyse the data I have collected as I will be able to see from the result if there is a correlation in the abundance of flattened mayfly nymphs and light intensity. If there is a correlation present it will also tell me whether it is a positive or negative correlation. NULL HYPOTHESIS (H0): There is no correlation between the abundance of flattened mayfly nymphs and light intensity.
