Osmosis Investigation Plan Aim: To find out the concentration of the solution inside a potato cell. Factors: Amount of Solution: We will keep the amount of solution as 100ml in all the tests. If we vary the amount of solution, it may affect the results so keeping the amount of solution the same will keep the test fair. Mass of Potato before experiment: It is important that we weigh the potato before the experiment so that we know how much the weight increases or decreases during the experiment. Time left in the solution: In each test, we will keep the time that each piece of potato is left in the solution the same. It is important because if we vary the time a lot, the results will be affected because some will have longer for the osmosis to take place.
