Aneal Khakhar Biology-Block Week Pond Dipping Investigation Aim: To collect and identify species of organisms and plants in an area of 1m2 in a pond. Equipment: A Nets (x2) - For catching pond animals in Magnifier (x1) - Used to see small organisms in more detail Trays (x3) - Three trays used to put materials (organisms/matter) in, one for every stage i.e. top, middle and bottom parts of the leaf , but mainly for looking at the animals in. Spoons (x2) - used to take organisms out of trays Pipette (x1) - Used to take up small organisms Organism Identifier (x2) - To identify organisms to help gather information to put the species in some order (producer, primary consumer, secondary consumer) and to then put them into pyramids of numbers and biomass.
