Using a nomogram that I was given for boys aged 10 to 18 years old I will estimate the energy requirements for a boy with: A mass of 60kg and PAL of 1.4 the boy would need 10mj day-1 A mass of 40kg and PAL of 1.8 the boy would need 10.2mj day-1 The relationship between physical activity and energy requirements is that the more physically active a person is then they need more energy. This is because the more physically active a person is the more energy needed by the muscles to function correctly. The relationship between body mass and energy requirements is that the more body mass a person has then the more energy-required daily....
