Self Assessment of GCSE ART The title of my Coursework is "Surface" and the theme I have chosen is "Reflection". I was asked to interpret different forms of art in relation to surfaces. I was given the choice of various aspects of surfaces to approach this project such as "Broken surfaces", "Patterned" and "Reflection" etc... I looked in detail in libraries and the internet for research on different artists and particular found M.C Escher interesting. I collected my Primary research from various places such as museums and natural outdoors. Most of this research is shown in the drawing from observation of the mirrors, shed and the gorilla. I collected my secondary research from books at libraries and the internet. This is shown in my research of different artist's work from surfaces and when experimenting with different artist's styles for my final design.
